The pups came along, it certainly does them no harm to get some travelling under their belts along with meeting people;
Being boxing day the whole family came along, I even persuaded teenage sons to be out of bed;

Whats really surprising is the most innefectual union of them all the TSSA has grown some and decided to act. This would be the same bunch of useless clowns whose answer when asked for help to deal with bullying managers was; "Well you dont have a years service so we cant represent you!"
No wonder the unions suffer from membership numbers falling if thats how they treat members!
Never be a member again or work for that shower of cnuts again!

Home to feed the chickens, walk the dogs and see the Pups, Nutmeg is out of shot scumming up to me;
So as I sit here eating my porrige, planning to use today fruitfully now, boil out a skull that I found in the freezer and make the Christmas flapjacks, chocolate chip and peanut!

Breakfast went well, more bacon next time;
Possibly less sausages;
The bag was added to at close of play by 3 more Pheasants and a fox foolish enough to try and run the gun line;

The walking gun and beaters make their way into the field;
After the cover strip we beat the river bank onto the sedge beds, the village church looks very atmospheric in the mist and snow;
A beat along the river bank towards the sedge beds;
The beat through the second half of the sedge;
Not a bad haul for the game cart;
The dogs seem pleased enough with their handiwork;
Till 2 weeks time then for here.
I have decided that in future anonymous posts will be deleted, much of what is commented on has no bearing to the circumstances under which we labour. If you dont like what you see then post using a name I can reply to!

Not a bad start to the first drive, had Dave been on pegs 1 or 2 then the tally would have been trippled in my opinion, so many birds it was like the OK Corrall!
Ben helped us out as we were down 3 guns, thats his first bird ever!

It had rained solid all morning but they still had observed the silence. It stayed its hand whilst Ben and I shot a couple of rounds of 20 bird supersport;
The shooting on display was quite good considering the weather, Supersport is a really compact discipline and great fun for a fiver!
So not a bad day, remembering lost friends and relatives and enjoying a few minutes of 20 bore saluting, Oh I managed 13 out of 20 which is 4 better than Ben!

So it was off to the wood for a shoot, first 3 drives were moderately busy, we were 1 gun down so a few birds slipped through. Still managed to bag 3 nice Cock birds even if our cartridge ratio was all to pot;
